HASTA EL 30 DE AGOSTO DE 2013 TIENEN PLAZO LOS MUNICIPIOS PARA ENVIAR INFORMACIÓN AL SUI

Según lo consagra el inciso 2° del artículo 7° del Decreto 1639 de 2013, fechado el pasado 31 de julio, "Por el cual se reglamenta parcialmente el artículo 4 de la Ley 1176 de 2007 en cuanto al proceso de certificación de los distritos y municipios y se dictan otras disposiciones", con el fin de obtener la certificación para la vigencia 2012, los municipios y distritos deberán reportar al SUI los soportes y la información correspondiente a más tardar el 30 de agosto de 2013.

El citado Decreto 1639, derogó en su integridad el Decreto 1629 de 2012, estableciendo los nuevos criterios para el proceso de certificación relacionada con el manejo de los recursos del Sistema General de Participaciones en los servicios públicos de acueducto, alcantarillado y aseo.

Es necesario recordar que los municipios que no sean certificados perderán las  competencias para administrar los recursos del Sistema General de Participaciones del sector y asegurar la prestación de los servicios de agua potable y saneamiento básico.
